Nana Shedania was born in Abkhazia and, after experiencing the impact of war during childhood, was inspired to support the social and emotional health of people experiencing trauma. Her career in social work has emphasized amplifying impact by engaging the entire family unit in support of youth, as well as identifying the various group, school, and community dynamics at play. NGO "Youth for Samegrelo Development" has been working with young people in the Samegrelo region since 2015 and promotes the development of their competencies through non-formal education as well as overseeing the development of social entrepreneurship in the region. In 2017, in conjunction with the NGO, Nana co-founded MegoBar, the first youth social bar in the region, providing a social gathering and free working space to local youth to support their emotional and personal development. As co-founder and project coordinator, Nana coordinates and manages all projects and events implemented by the bar.
