Marios Pafitis holds an MSc in Web & Smart Systems and a BSc in Computer Science - Artificial Intelligence. His research contributed to the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease through MRI images. He specializes in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. Currently, he is the technical leader of the iNicosia web platform, CYENS Centre of Excellence's flagship project.

Marios is also the CTO and Co-founder of Fooderloo Ltd, a startup combating food waste, and MammoCheck Ltd, aimed at reducing late-stage breast cancer diagnoses. He has represented MammoCheck at international events and received 1st place in Startups4Peace and the Rising Star Award in the DAAS-AI competition. He is passionate about social entrepreneurship and research commercialization, focusing on educating future generations about entrepreneurship. In supporting his startup, Marios oversees product development, identifies medical device requirements, conducts market research, coordinates with legal advisors, manages financial budgets, and builds and maintains partnerships with key industry players.
