Mr. Sergii Klimov has been working on the popularization of Ukrainian wines since 2014. During this time, he organized one of the biggest wine events in Ukraine - the Kyiv Food and Wine Festival. He was an ideologue and co-owner of the chain of wine bars named Like a Local's (3 bars, from 2016-2022). In 2018, he planted his first vineyard. Sergii has his own media outlet about wine - Uwines, created a game called Uwines Ambassadors, and in 2023 released the book "The Untold Story of Ukrainian Winemaking".

Sergii is the initiator of many projects aimed at creating a wine culture in Ukraine and popularizing Ukrainian wines. In 2023, he made the first wine from Kyiv in history. Mr. Klimov is the head of development and marketing at Wines of Ukraine, a member of the Aspen Institute community and has a professional wine education (WSET Level 2).
